Annual Drill

We practice once a year in September to be sure our community volunteers are in place and know what to do.

Requests have been made to hold additional unannounced drills at other times of the year. To date, we have never done that but the possibility that we could remains an option.

Real Life

In the event of a large-scale earthquake, Block Captains should immediately activate.

Block Captains may be asked by city authorities to engage with their blocks in other circumstances, too, either in-person or by cell phone. These scenarios could include but are not limited to:

Fire evacuation
Boil order
Wild animal
Silver Alert
Storm recovery
Earthquake
