FOR BLOCK CAPTAINS! Please invite every household to participate in our citywide food drive! Last year was SO successful, we want to do it again!
After participation tallies have been sent to Neighborhood Captains by two runners, Block Captains should load up their Block's food donation bags and drive them to the Aquatics Center (60 W 60 N) by car anytime between 6:15 and 8:15PM. If you are busy hosting a block BBQ or similar gathering, you may ask someone else on the block to help take the donations to the Community Center. Our CERT team & Mayor's Youth Council will be there to receive and unload the bags for you.
If you don't receive premade bags to distribute, you can make your own or at least share the Tabitha's Way flier (found under the FORMS tab) with each household.

- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★— Kristi Evans, experienced disaster and property loss in Hurricane HarveyI just want to thank everyone who helps with this program and makes it work. It is amazing! We have never had anything like this anywhere that we have lived before.
Thank you! I am really grateful for everyone who puts time and effort into making this possible.★ ★ ★ ★ ★— Angie Hendrickson, long-time Lindon City resident and community volunteerThe drill in past years have shown us just how amazing we as a Lindon community can come together in any situation and provide for the safety of our citizens. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together again as a city at our drill this year.★ ★ ★ ★ ★— John and Linda Fossom, neighborhood and area drill leader volunteers for 5 yearsThe Lindon City Drill is our practice for something that could save the lives of many, prepare us to serve our neighbors, and make us accountable for each person in our household. We can share ice-cream and cookies or a meal with our neighbors and get to know them. It is only one night for some people and a year’s worth of planning and work for others, but we are proud to be part of it and appreciate a city that cares for its individuals enough to prepare us for the unforeseen future. - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★— Dave Banner, long-time Lindon City resident and drill radio volunteerThe drill is always a great opportunity to reflect on and practice awareness of our neighbors' well-being. It is, I believe, one of the many aspects that keeps our community a close-knit one.★ ★ ★ ★ ★— Chelsea Beutler, long-time Lindon residentAlthough we all hope for avoiding disaster, it is important to be prepared on how to navigate through different scenarios should one arise. It's a comfort to know our public officers are implementing well-thought out processes and opportunities to practice such scenarios. I see how the drills benefit my family, neighbors and community by being prepared to act and communicate in a moment's notice. This not only helps reduce fear and anxiety on how to handle a disaster, but also instills trust in our community members that there will be a support network throughout a disaster. We are grateful for the work of our city members to carry this event out each year.★ ★ ★ ★ ★— Ben Hutchins, long-time Lindon residentWe have loved the 9-11 drills - not just the reassurance of knowing our city is responsive about emergency preparedness but for the built-in opportunity to get to know our neighbors better each year.
